Undertoe
is a rock group that focuses on upbeat
instrumental music. The group has released two
full length CDs, "Real Men Don't Sing"
in 1999 and "Friends Don't Let Friends
Sing" in 2001. Both CDs were recorded and
produced by the band-owned production company,
1203 Music Inc.
The Undertoe repertoire includes original music
as well as many hits from the past by artists
such as Dick Dale and the Ventures. They also
excel at playing themes from movies and vintage
TV shows of the '50s and '60s. The band was
formed in September of 1996 and has performed in
many diversified Southwest venues such as
Scottsdale Center for the Arts, The Flagstaff
Festival, Henderson Art Fest, the America West
Arena, Alice Cooperstown and scores of private
functions. They have also appeared in the
"Rock Culture" series on Scottsdale's
cable channel 28 and a Phoenix Coyotes pre-game
show on the Warner Bros. TV network. Undertoe was
named in the "100 Top Phoenix Rock Bands of
All Time" by The Arizona Republic "Rep
Entertainment Guide" in December of 2000.
Undertoe can provide music for commercial work,
such as advertising and motion picture sound
tracks, too. The original song, "Belly
Tart" from the "Real Men Don't
Sing" CD was used in the festival film
"Tying the Knot".
"They're so good, I forgot that I knew
them". Dave Hill, commenting on
"Friends Don't Let Friends Sing". |
